Tell it Like It is!
Luke,Chapter18,verse9-14
God have mecy on me:
I am a sinner.
THINK ABOUT THIS
Two men went into the temple to pray. One bragged about all the good things he was doing for God (as if God didnt already know!)
The other man simpley said, Have mercy on me." He knew that he wasnt perfect and he wanted and needed Gods forgiveness. God loved this prayer the best because the man understood that he needed God in his life. This is a good lesson for us. We need to tell it like it is-both to God and others.
Think about this message today.Can you follow Jesus this way?
EXERCISE
Clap your hands thirty times, and each time say,"I will be honest with God and others."
Prayer
Choose a comfortable place to sit and say this prayer:
I want to be like the second man in the temple,dear God.
I need you in my life and I need forgiveness and your blessings.
Now spend two minutes (more if you can) talking to God in your own words.) |
