Mary put perfume on Jesus feet and wiped it dry with her hair.
Think about this
Jesus was visiting his friends. Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, and Mary took expensive perfume and put it on Jesus feet. This was a sign of honor and love. One of the disciples complained about wasting expensive perfume,but Jesus accepted this act for what it was:a tender act of friendship and a way to ease his troubles. Imagine how difficult this time for him. If you had ben there,what would you have done or said?
Think about this message today. Can you follow Jesus this way?
EXERCISE
Raise your hands toward the sky fifty times, and as you do say Jesus may I be a good friend to you!"
PRAYER
Before you go to bed tonight, say tonight, asy this prayer:
If I had been there, Jesus , I would have tried to comfort you by sitting near you and listening to whatever you told me.
Now spend two minutes ( more if you can) talking to God in your own words. |
