지상에서 크다는 것의 기준은 더 많음, 더 높음, 더 잘남과 같은 것을 의미합니다. 우리가 이미 익히 잘 알고 있는 것들이고 추구하고 있는 것들이지요.
천상에서 크다는 것의 기준은 단 하나 뿐입니다. ‘하느님을 더 많이 소유함’입니다. 왜냐하면 진정으로 크신 분은 하느님 뿐이기 때문이지요.
그래서 지상과 천상에서는 서로 다른 기준이 적용되고 있는 셈입니다. 물론 지상에서의 삶은 유한하고 천상에서의 삶은 무한하다는 것이 결정적인 차이이지요. 지상에서 아무리 큰 사람이라도 결국에는 생을 다하고 천상의 삶으로 들어가야 하는 것입니다.
그러면 어떤 일이 벌어질까요? 그렇습니다. 지상에서 자기 자신을 위해서 수많은 것들을 소유하고 있었던 이에게 하느님을 소유할 여력은 존재하지 않습니다. 결국 그는 천상에서 가장 낮은 자가 되어 버릴 것입니다. 이는 마치 물잔에 다른 음료수가 가득 들어 있는 동안은 절대로 맑은 물을 부을 수 없는 것과 똑같습니다.
천상에서 가장 큰 사람은 지상에서 자신의 탐욕을 가장 많이 비운 사람이 될 것입니다.
The criterion(standard) of being greater
In this real world, the criterions of being greater mean having more, being higher, being better, etc. We already know such things and we are looking for them.
In the world of heaven, the criterion of being greater means just one thing, “Having more God.” Because it is only God who is really Great.
So theres works different criterion among this real world and the other world. The absolute difference among those worlds is this real world have limit, and world of heaven has no limit on the contrary is eternal. It doesn’t matter how bic is the one person in this world(steve jobs or president Obama, for example), when he finish his life, he has to enter in eternal life.
Than what would be happen? Yes, he would not have any other space in himself, because he already has had too much things in him. Finally he will be most lower person in heaven. This is just like that we never can pour clean water in the cup which already have coke or some other soda.
The greatest man in the heaven will be the man who empty oneself in this world from any greed.
